Mike Sorrentino and his wife Lauren Sorrentino have another “situation” on their hands!

The couple announced on social media on Sunday that they are expecting their second baby. Mike, 40, and Lauren, 37, are already parents to 14-month-old son Romeo Reign.

“We have an amazing announcement!! We are a growing family! Baby on the way 🀰🏼 January 2023 🀍God is good πŸ™πŸΌ,” Mike captioned a family photo on Instagram, while Lauren shared the same image and caption on corresponding account of .

In the comments section, Mike was met with love by some of his own Jersey Shore contributors who shared their excitement over the couple’s news.

“So very happy for you guys!!! πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½,” wrote Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio as Jenni “JWoww” Farley commented, “Yassssssss.”

Mike and Lauren’s exciting announcement comes after the couple celebrated Romeo’s first birthday in May. At the time, the proud parents shared sweet tributes to their baby boy on Instagram, with a look at Romeo’s two adorable birthday photoshoots.

In the first photo shoot, Romeo sat in front of balloons and a number one sign, smiling in a gray and white outfit with a blue beret. The photos also included a mini-scooter with Rome’s name on it.

“Romeo is ONE πŸ₯³,” Mike captioned the post while Lauren wrote: “Happy Birthday to my sweet boy Romeo Reign! πŸŽ‚ I’m so proud to be your mommy, you fill my heart πŸ’™ I love you!! ! πŸ₯Ί .”

Mike and Lauren also shared a look at Romeo’s second photoshoot with their son wearing a white apron and chef’s hat while playing in a bowl of spaghetti. “I love you more than you love pasta 🍝 Happy 1st Birthday Romeo Reign β™₯️ Spaghetti for the win πŸ₯°,” Lauren captioned her post.

Mike later posted an adorable snap of Romeo smiling at his sprinkled birthday cake. She captioned the photo, “Birthday runs‼️ Romeo’s first time trying funfettis πŸŽ‚ πŸ₯³πŸ€©πŸŽ‰.”

“πŸ₯° loved it πŸ₯ΊπŸŽ‚,” Lauren added in the comments.

The couple, who married in November 2018, have previously been open about the challenges they faced on their journey to parenthood.

Back in 2019, Lauren said Good morning America‘small Strahan Sara & Keke that she had suffered a miscarriage in the past.

Lauren recalled tracking her ovulation cycles, saying it “worked perfectly” that she ovulated around the same time Mike was released from Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York, in September of that year after eight months in prison for tax fraud. .

“The night he came home we really conceived,” he said. “And then at about six and a half, seven weeks I miscarried.” He also called the ordeal “heartbreaking.”

When asked why she came forward with her story of losing her child, Lauren said: “I didn’t want to hold it in. I wanted to share it with other people who are going through it and be honest so the process can heal.”
